Rafael Correa gave a lecture entitled "América Latina, pasado, presente, futuro".

Rafael Correa studied economics at UCL in Louvain-La-Neuve and in Illinois (USA) and was president of Ecuador from 2007 to 2017. The turnout was huge: the Gaston Eyskens auditorium was quite full and more than a hundred students followed the presentation via the livestream.

He showed himself to be a gifted speaker and didactician, the lecture was well and clearly structured and of great educational value. He masterfully managed to discuss the past, present and future of this fascinating continent in one hour.

This was followed by a round of questions in which the students could ask a question we had worked out in advance in class. What a unique experience, it was educational, interesting, fascinating and unforgettable!
