Since October last year, 18 Indian nurses have been working at UZ Leuven, after an intensive preparation and language training in their home country.
The Indian colleagues are spread across various departments in the university hospital, including general medical oncology, kidney dialysis, hepatology, geriatrics, and vascular surgery.
This school year, they are also taking Dutch lessons twice a week with colleagues Christine and Stijn to achieve a B2 language level.
We are proud of this contribution to quality care and diversity at UZ Leuven.
