Send your poem(s) to your teacher beore 15 November.
The winning poems will be put on our website. That way, people of Leuven can choose a poem to be written on their window. During the 2nd semester, our team of volunteers will write the poems on windows throughout Leuven, using chalk paint.
Practical information:
- The poem has to be your own work, and has to be written in one of the 26 languages taught at CLT.
- Winning entries will be written on windows, and should therefore not be too long so as to fit the available space and catch people's attention.
About 8 lines is ideal. Of course, shorter poems (like haikus, for example) are fine as well. - The poems will be used to celebrate language learning. This means there is no real topic to our contest, but we would encourage you to use the theme of the official poetry week, which will focus on the topic "Home". After all, a lot of people feel at home at CLT and in the new languages they learn.
- By submitting a poem, you give CLT permission to post your work on our website and social media, and, of course, to share the poem on windows in Leuven.
